Earl D McPeak

Earl D. McPeak, age 69, of Greenville was promoted to heaven where he was greeted by his wife and son on Wednesday July 29, 2026.

He was born and raised in Ravenna, Ohio on January 6, 1957, the son of Amos and Ruth (Whitaker) McPeak.

On September 3, 1988 Earl married the former Sherry Lee DeGregory, she passed away December 27, 2012.

He was employed at Local Union # 964 in New Castle for many years until his retirement. Earl was a very hard worker, and proud of being a masonry.

He enjoyed going to his hunting camp in West Virginia, hunting, tending his vegetable garden, canning, collecting and working on old tractors, four-wheeling, and lending a helping hand to anyone in need. Earl truly enjoyed spending time with family especially his grandchildren who were the apples of his eye.

He is survived by his step-daughter, Kelly Hoover "Andy"; a step-son, John Cogswell "Erika"; a daughter, Candy Webster "Jason"; a daughter-in-law, Crystal McPeak; three siblings, Amos McPeak, Robert McPeak, and Mary Gorby; ten grandchildren: Tori, Katelyn, Kaylie (a special thank you, for taking care of your papa when he needed it most), Leah, Logan, Patience, Edward, Lillana, Noah, Liam; six great-grandchildren; his lifelong friend, John Dolin; his good friends, Mike Dolin, Gary Carr, and Larry Schuler; many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, son Shawn McPeak, and four siblings: Eugene McPeak, Rosalie Glidewell, Alan McPeak, and Thomas McPeak.

He is dearly loved and will be missed by all!

SERVICES: A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday 9-5-26 from 1:00-4:00 PM in Shepard of the Valley Church, 2717 Valley View Rd.Shapsville.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Rose Simplicity Cremation and Funeral Center, Inc. 200 S. Erie St. Mercer.
