Harry Keyster Tyson Jr.

Harry K. Tyson Jr., 79, of Mercer, PA, transitioned to his eternal rest during the early morning hours of May 12, 2026, with his "best sidekick" by his side, after a long battle with Dementia/Alzheimer's Disease. 

He was born on September 13, 1946, in Pittsburgh, PA to Harry K. Tyson Sr. and Clara Brodie Tyson. He obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Teaching and went on to earn a Master's Degree in Social Work, specializing in drug and alcohol counseling, first with adults and then with troubled youth. Harry continued his education studies earning professional licenses in PA in Drug and Alcohol Counseling and Social Work and then earned licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. He enjoyed drawing, gardening, landscaping, and boating.  

Harry is survived by his "best sidekick" Juanita Badger; a brother, Joe Tyson; a daughter, Alanna; a son, Maurice; and two grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, maternal and paternal grandparents, and a brother, Charles (Grace) Tyson.

Harry chose cremation and there will be no services.
