John A. Biberich, 83, of Grove City passed away at his home on August 19, 2026 surrounded by

family. He was born in New Castle on December 29, 1942 to parents Walter Biberich and

Katherine Tartler.

John served his country in the United States Marine Corps until 1963 before joining the

academic sphere. He earned a Master’s Degree in History from Westminster College and began

working toward his Doctorate. He taught history, civics, and other classes for 13 years in Beaver

Falls and surrounding areas. John was a huge history buff and had a love for reading all things

history from ancient to modern. In 1968 John established Wolf Creek Farm where he cultivated

primarily plants and started a greenhouse. He married his wife Susan Biberich on June 8, 1974

and she survives at home. John also enjoyed fishing at his parents’ place in Canada and putting

on fireworks shows with explosives he made himself. He was a member of the Millbrook

Presbyterian Church.

John is survived by his wife, Susan; two daughters, Allison (Matt) Jeffery, of Grove City, and

Christy (Brian) Grossman, of Encino, CA; and three grandchildren, Abby and Alex Jeffery, and

Theo Grossman.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Katherine; a brother, Walter Gerald Biberich;

and a sister, Gail Louise McClure.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Rose Simplicity 200 S. Erie St. Mercer. As per John’s

wishes there will be no public services.
