Robert C. Baldesberger Jr.

Robert C. “Bob” Baldesberger Jr., 65, of Greenville, passed away at UPMC Hamot in Erie on June 8, 2025. Bob was born to Patricia and Robert Baldesberger Sr. on May 12, 1960. Bob earned his Master’s Degree in Environmental Studies from Slippery Rock University. Bob served proudly in the United States Air Force.

Bob married the love of his life, Elizabeth Palmer Baldesberger, on February 26, 1981. The pair met originally in a movie theater in Okinawa, Japan.

Bob worked as a Master Bird Bander and carried out many duties in this field, working for Ohio State University and even being published in photographs for educational textbooks. He was very passionate about everything he did, especially ornithology. Bob served as the Pymatuning State Park Naturalist in Ohio for some time. He loved photography and taking pictures of things in nature. He truly was an outdoorsman and just enjoyed being in nature. He was extremely artistic and could build just about anything. Bob also made sure that he always passed on his knowledge and his passion for nature and the outdoors. He would take his kids and his grandkids out for adventures. They always had a goal to find a new species of something or an animal they hadn’t seen before. Most importantly, Bob loved his family, and adored Liz above everything else.

Bob is survived by his wife and their children, Robert (Karen) Baldesberger III; Megan (Jarrod) Britton; and Katelynn (Michael) Amato. Bob is survived by his grandchildren, Robert C. Baldesberger IV, Rachel Britton, Aizalyn Baldesberger, Logan Britton, Jacob Demmler, Johnathan Demmler, and Lynnelle Funkhouser. Bob is survived by his great-grandchild, Addison Brommer. Bob is survived by his brother, Jerry Baldesberger, and his sisters, Patrcia Raskowsky and Roberta Fisher.

Bob is preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Rose Simplicity Cremation and Funeral Center, Inc. 200 S Erie. St Mercer, PA 16137. There will be no public services.
