Susan Diane Wheaton

Susan Diane Wheaton, 70, of Greenville, PA, passed away on May 22, 2025, at Hospice of the Valley in Youngstown, OH. Susan was born to Harry and Esther Christy on November 15, 1954, in Grove City. Susan graduated from Grove City High School and attended New Castle School of Trades to obtain her Welding Certificate. She worked as a home caregiver and a welder in her career.

Susan married her sweetheart, Clarence Wheaton, on July, 10, 2021; he survives.

Susan was an avid member of Solomon’s Porch church in Greenville, PA. She loved being a welder. Susan never missed a good yard sale or garage sale. She was absolutely thrilled to worship the lord at her church. Susan was avid on making sure her beloved pickup truck was named as so when it was talked about. And most importantly, she loved her dogs.

Susan is survived by her mother, her husband, her daughters; Tammie (Neil Rothschild) Fry-Rothschild and Jeannette Walker, her grandchildren; Lane Fry, Titan Rothschild, and Kara Brosious, and five siblings. Susan is preceded in death by her father and three siblings.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Rose Simplicity Cremation and Funeral Center, Inc. 200 S Erie St. Mercer, PA 16137. Friends and family will be welcomed from 10am-12pm on Friday, May 30, at the funeral home. A funeral service will take place following visitation at 12pm at the funeral home.
